Join our flock and keep in touch
A note from Father Tom Gibson
I am a bit overwhelmed by the loving-kindness and concern received from so many people these past several weeks. Emotions run close to the surface in my little world. I am quick to laugh while tears await right around the corner. I am slowly gaining energy but sleep a lot. My take away is... I am happy to be alive and present to the world.
The doctors at the burn unit are pleased with my progress. Skin grafted to burn sites are holding and the donor sites ( my thighs) are almost healed. Picking up the pieces and rebuilding will be on going for some time. I now live with my daughter, Cecilia and her little family. She promised me a bed in the attic for my old age but has given me my own room for the time being. Her mama raised her well.
So..thank you and bless you for your love and support. You are a light in the darkness.
The best way to help Fr. Tom and his family during this time is to pray, and donate to help him recover financially.
